Feva is a non-denominational ministry to the Visual Arts. The Feva Ministry exists with the goal of knowing Christ and making him known, particularly amongst the arts community in Sydney.

MID YEAR CONFERENCE: PRAYER
Have you ever asked yourself, 'if God is sovereign and knows what I need, what is the point of praying to him?' Does God listen when I pray? Have you ever thought about how God answers prayer? Do you ever wonder whether you should pray for the same thing continually or whether once is enough?

2009 BLACK TIE DINNER
The Annual Fundraising Event for FEVA
Come and join an art movement at the 2009 FEVA Black Tie dinner. Sit at table and hear how being in the cultural frame is important for gospel ministry. We'll think about how culture affects mission and how FEVA's mission can affect culture and we'll pray that this art movement will shape eternity.
This year each table is themed separately around a particular artistic movement. So get your friends together and join a table of six. You could join the 'Fauves' table (the wild beasts) or the Blue Reiter School.

Cost: $95 per person or $510 for a table of six ($85 each)

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
There are a number of things we need help with across the various FEVA ministries. You may know someone who's just right.
- In the office we can always do with secretarial help a couple of days a week. As we ramp up to the Promoting the Word through Image and Text conference at the end of the year we especially need help with database entry and making phone calls and other marketing activities. The more administrative help we have the more we can do. Maybe you just want to come and clean and tidy for a morning!
- The Outreach Posters ministry needs retired people (we think this is ideal) to deliver posters in the Northern and Western parts of Sydney (preferably people who are handy with basic tools).
- We need more people with marketing expertise to join Steve Kryger as he markets Outreach Media products.
- We need more writers to help us write good prose for the monthly notes that are distributed to churches around Australia and to help us write other web articles and tracts for Outreach Media projects.
- We're always interested in having more graphic designers, film makers and other media/content generators join us to offer their talent. We'd need to see samples of work.
- Free for a weekend? Good with tools? Come and help us build storage for the office.

MINISTRY TO STUDENTS
Student Ministry has always been the core work of Feva. Feva teaches the Bible and encourages students to investigate Christianity on a number of campuses where the Visual Arts and design is taught, including the College of Fine Arts, Sydney College of the Arts, UNSW Faculty of Built Environment, UTS Faculty of Design Architecture and Building and the National Art School. PETERSHAM EVENING CHURCH
In 2001 Feva planted a church in Petersham. Known as Petersham Evening Church, this church has an arts focus while still encouraging members of the local community to get involved and hear the gospel. The church provides an opportunity for all people to be involved with the ministry

THE CREATE MINISTRY
Create is a recent FEVA initiative. It's all about generating 'stuff' to promote Jesus as Lord. It focuses on projects which have a sharp evangelistic purpose.
Those involved are into film, writing, animation, graphic art, music and any creative angle that will do the job. Create people want to make content that is edgy, sharp and gospel flavoured.
In 2006 Create took over the running of the 'Outreach Posters' ministry. Outreach Posters has provided large posters for churches all around Australia for the last 18 years. If you would like to be involved with Create or just want to find out more you can go to createministry.com
