Gethsemane
Having just returned from the US, Gethsemane have released their latest album "Get somewhere" (available through Koorong) with a night to remember, at the Factory Theatre in Sydney. Raw rock with a touch of funk & blues, gives Gethsemane the tools they need for a great live show.

Lissa Kukura
Lissa was born into a family where the writing and production of songs was a normal, daily event. "I remember sitting on Mum's lap at the piano and playing duets. Dad would get me to sing harmonies for his production work in radio and together we wrote songs about animals or simply whatever madness came to mind. I guess it was natural that I developed an early love of music." At age 12, she discovered the joy of writing her own songs at the piano instead of practicing scales. She preferred arranging the scores for the school choir instead of singing in it. And when she went on to uni, she couldn't help but notice that music as an elective was far more exciting than her actual degree in Psychology. It was in that music class, well known and respected musician and singer Darren Percival helped open Lissa's eyes to her love of music that for so many years she had taken for granted. With Darren's help and encouragement, Lissa found a new confidence and creativity in her voice and song writing. At the same time, her interest in the guitar blossomed, giving her writing a fresh, new acoustic feel. She developed her own, unique style...a blend of classically inspired acoustic pop and folk. With the help of friends, Lissa started to perform live gigs and experienced the thrill of sharing her music with an audience. "I write about life. I write about love. I write about faith. If any of my songs stir something within, then I want people to know that song was written just for them."

Jon Reichardt
Since releasing his debut album in 2005 (Bittersweet Song Therapy), Jon has played many shows across Sydney and beyond, appeared on both national television and radio, and shared the bill with acclaimed artists such as Sarah Mcleod (Superjesus), Charlton Hill and Jamie Hutchings (Blue Bottle Kiss). Late 2006 he felt God call him out of the pub scene and into youth-ministry. This led to the opportunity of travelling across NSW with a band/ministry of CRAM—Destination Life—performing and speaking at high-schools, churches and universities whilst completing a thesis in Theomusicology/Ethnography at Macquarie University. These days Jon continues to work with Destination Life as he seeks to share Jesus with a youth-culture in need of truth.

Guava
Guava formed in early 2007 when Chris (Guitar/Voice), wanted to start something different and rang around to find some interested musicians. The selling vision was to fuse folk, world, rock, jazz and blues. Most players politely declined, but for Laura (Sax), Tim (Drums) and Ellis (Bass), the idea tickled the right spot.

Tim and Chris had been jamming some tunes for a few months until Laura and Ellis brought the ideas all together. The music is passionate and energetic, thoughtful and hopeful. Some songs sound strongly Latin or Spanish, where others incorporate African rhythms and feeling. More than anything, Guava is robust, full of life, and wanting to involve and move their audience- most aptly in the feet!

Greg Cooper
Greg recently released his debut solo album, 'The Four Day Weeks of April', which he co-produced with noted Australian producers Michael Carpenter (Youth Group, 78 Saab) and Matt Fell (Sara Storer, Troy Cassar-Daley, Butterfly 9, Tania Bowra). He is also a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter for the Sydney band Garage Hymnal. Greg's songs drip with honesty and hope, ranging from dark, melancholic ballads, to driving, optimistic pop rock. He finds true beauty in the heartache and joy that come from a well-crafted melody. Greg is influenced by great songwriters of our time, including the Finn Brothers, John Mayer, Bic Runga, Diesel, and Brooke Fraser. Yet having trained classically on instruments such as piano and saxophone, Greg's music is also infused with glorious moments that reflect his deep love of orchestral music. He can't wait to share his songs with the ears of the world.

Colleen O'Connell
Colleen O'Connell is a girl, with a voice, a pair of hands, a piano and a heart doing laps around her head. She writes songs regarding her observations on grace, life, boat rides, monkeys, private jets and other unmentionable things. Her "voice is clear and devoid of Americanisms. Instead an uncontrived Australian accent draws out the vowels. Her voice aches in the delicate songs. In music that is so focused upon lyrics, hers are thoughtful and contagious" (Alyssa Critchley, The Drum Media, 20/5/08). Colleen is currently recording her debut EP and will release it within the next 6 months. Joe Hardy
Joe Hardy has been called a one man band on more than one occasion. It's probably a good thing that the label no longer implies a spectacle intended primarily as a novelty.

His performances are essentially a series of live musical explorations which the wonders of modern technology enable him to present solo: performances that are heavily improvised and frequently open-ended in nature. It's basically electronic music with guitars, but don't expect a set of floor-filling dance numbers: Joe can't dance and doesn't pretend to know how dance music works. Instead, expect mellow, ambient, minimalistic journeys which gradually unfold and wrap its listeners in layers of texture... and then blowing the covers off with explosions of joyful noise.

Joe doesn't like releasing his own music but has a few remixes in the wild (including his critically acclaimed take on Gotye's Hearts a Mess) and some session appearances on other albums (you might have heard him on Garage Hymnal's Bring on the Day album).
